Fort Greely Installation Restoration Program

Client: U.S. Army Space Missile Defense Command
Location: Fort Greely, Alaska

Kuna’s work with U.S. Army Space Missile Defense Command at Fort Greely extends back to 2013. Since that time, numerous projects have afforded us the opportunity to the full-spectrum of environmental services, including: site investigations for soil, groundwater and landfills; military munitions investigations and removals; long-term groundwater monitoring, data management, and reporting; and Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meetings, factsheets, and website support.

A sample of our work at the Fort Greely Installation includes:

  • Abandoned Fuel Pipeline Removal
  • Army Garrison General Environmental and Engineering Compliance Support Services
  • Community Activities Center Preconstruction Environmental Survey (PES)
  • Asbestos Survey (70 Buildings)
  • ACM Staging Site Soil Analyses
  • Abandoned Underground Injection Control (UIC) Wells Investigation and Closure
  • Post-Wide Groundwater Monitoring
  • Former Fuel Supply Pipeline Environmental Investigation
  • Installation Restoration Program Investigation of 50 Individual Areas of Environmental Concern
