Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A)

In 2022, the Cities of Saint Paul and Saint George were awarded the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant from the US Department of Transportation. This grant supports the development of a Regional Safety Action Plan aimed at improving transportation safety across the four Pribilof Islands. Kuna Engineering is collaborating with local city and tribal governments, stakeholders, and agencies with a long-term vested interest in enhancing transportation infrastructure.

The Regional Safety Action Plan is being shaped by thorough road assessments, safety analyses, and input gathered through a public outreach process. This comprehensive plan will serve as a critical framework for advancing necessary safety improvements to the islands’ existing transportation infrastructure.
