Kuna Engineering was originally incorporated in 1981 in Barrow (Utqiagvik), Alaska, to serve the infrastructure development needs of the Native communities on Alaska’s Arctic Slope. Since that time, we have served tribal communities throughout Alaska and the western United States. We’ve had a couple of name changes (ASCG and WHPacific, Alaska Operations), but we’ve remained true to our calling to work with American Indian and Alaska Native communities to meet their development needs.

Sivu, LLC. rebranded as NANA North. Kuna remains a 100% Native-owned entity.
September 2020
NANA Development Corporation was converted to Sivu, LLC. Kuna remains a 100% Native-owned entity.
May 2018
Former Alaska branches renamed as Kuna Engineering, operating out of Anchorage and Utqiaġvik (Barrow).
April 2018
NANA Development Corporation reacquires WHPacific’s Alaska branches as part of NANA’s focus on growth in the state.
October 2017
NANA Development Corporation sells WHPacific to a joint venture of Grand Isle Shipyard and the Chouest Family.
January 2008
ASCG Incorporated changes its name and name of all subsidiaries to WHPacific Incorporated.
June 2005
ASCG Incorporated becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of NANA Development Corporation, the business arm of NANA Regional Corporation.
May 2001
ASCG Incorporated celebrate its 20-Year Anniversary.
March 1992
Company changes name to ASCG Incorporated as part of its expansion into Lower 48.
March 1987
Merger with Ocean Technology, Ltd. changes firm name to Arctic Slope Consulting Group (ASCG), reflecting additional services provided.
May 1981
Arctic Slope Regional Corporation establishes wholly owned subsidiary Northern International Consultants (dba Arctic Slope Consulting Engineers).
