Troy Phillips, AIA, CDT
Director, Architecture and Structural Engineering
Troy has been a part of the Kuna team for over 12 years. During that time, he traveled to more than 14 rural Alaskan communities for renovation and new construction projects, often acting as liaison between the client and the engineering team, contractor, or product vendors. He is skilled at developing and reviewing code analysis, and has successfully obtained construction permits for clients on projects throughout Alaska’s rural and urban environments. Troy uses his extensive experience with the building information modeling software Revit & AutoCAD to develop detailed design and energy efficiency improvements. In his personal time Troy has a passion for restoring houses in disrepair so they can be used as new homes for Alaskan families. He has renovated two properties and is currently working on his third. When he is not renovating homes or designing buildings, he enjoys playing guitar in his band and frequently plays gigs around Alaska’s varied venues.
